Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role involves hands-on accounting responsibilities, including overseeing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing month-end closings and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
- Work with accounting software systems to streamline processes and maintain data integrity.
- Handle billing functions, including invoice preparation and payment tracking.
- Perform internal audits to monitor and improve financial controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies and optimize processes.
- Utilize tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports to enhance reporting and expense management.
- Support payroll processing and related financial activities using platforms like ADP. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports.
- Familiarity with payroll systems, particularly ADP, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of billing processes and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in managing financial data.
- Knowledge of DCAA compliance and other regulatory standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on accounting role.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with various teams.
