As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our Accounting team and help manage the day-to-day financial operations of our dealerships.
Job Overview :
The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the dealership. This position is ideal for someone with a background in accounting and financial management, preferably in the automotive industry. The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller and Dealership Management Team to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded. Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Review and process daily financial functions. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of vehicle inventory and related costs. Prepare sales tax and other regulatory filings as required. Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes and ensure financial accuracy. Maintain strong relationships with external vendors, lenders, and auditors.
Qualifications :
Bi-lingual is a plus Strong knowledge of accounting principles & financial reporting. Experience with CDK dealership management software is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
