Miami, FL Job Overview Toledo Iron Works is seeking a dynamic and innovative Controller to lead and optimize the financial and administrative functions of our office. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, fresh ideas to enhance processes and systems, and a hands-on approach to driving efficiency and scalability. If you are a highly organized accounting professional with a passion for continuous improvement, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the financial future of our growing company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation. Oversee and maintain accurate financial records including debits, credits, and payroll functions. Utilize Sage (Peachtree) accounting software to manage and streamline financial data and reporting. Process and manage AIA pay applications with accuracy and timeliness. Develop and implement innovative process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and support the company’s growth and scalability. Support corporate accounting functions, financial analysis, and budgeting efforts. Prepare reports, statements, and other financial documents as required. Collaborate with leadership to develop effective accounting methods and reporting systems. Assist with general office administration and provide clerical support as needed. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Strong proficiency in Sage (Peachtree); experience with QuickBooks is a plus. Proven experience with AIA pay applications and corporate accounting functions. Deep understanding of general ledger accounting, debits/credits, and financial reconciliation. Proficient in 10-key typing and financial software tools. Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to contribute ideas and improvements to streamline processes. Proactive, hands-on professional who is not afraid to get involved at all levels of the organization.
