Position Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Controller to join our dynamic team. This individual will serve as a key strategic partner to the executive suite, providing financial leadership to support operational excellence and accelerate the company’s trajectory toward achieving a billion-dollar valuation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and bring a results-driven, collaborative approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner directly with the executive suite to design and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s ambitious growth objectives. Oversee all financial operations, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Manage and review full-cycle CAM reconciliations, property operating expenses, and tenant recoveries. Lead development and construction accounting, including budget-to-actual cost tracking, loan draw preparation, and capitalization of project costs. Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with legal requirements, internal controls, and industry best practices. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including property management, asset management, and development teams, to drive business initiatives and support strategic decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Qualifications:

Proven success leading financial operations within the commercial real estate industry, particularly across Office, Retail, and Hospitality asset classes. Expertise in financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and operational finance, including CAM reconciliation processes and construction/development accounting. Strong knowledge of property management accounting, real estate finance, construction principles, legal compliance, and property-level reporting. Experience managing tenant billing processes, operating expense budgets, and supporting lease administration as it relates to recoveries. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and cultivate high-performing teams. Superior communication skills and a collaborative, partnership-driven approach to working with internal stakeholders. Impeccable attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting.
