This position requires a strong leader who can manage financial functions and guide administrative staff effectively. As a Regional Controller, you are a valued member of our team, performing the following duties: Provide complete and accurate financial information to management, enabling data-driven decision-making. Advise the General Manager on strategic business initiatives, offering insights into operational efficiency and long-term growth strategies. Assist with budgeting and planning, aligning financial goals with company objectives. Lead, develop, and coordinate the administrative staff to ensure high performance. This includes reviewing work, setting priorities, and achieving deadlines. Manage accounting functions, including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting. Develop and implement accounting procedures, analyzing current procedures and recommending changes for improvement. Oversee monthly/annual closings of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial statements. Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and propose actionable solutions. Support the General Manager by preparing executive summaries, forecasts, and business presentations. Train and educate staff on internal control procedures, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability. Regularly monitor and enforce compliance with organizational policies and procedures and address any deviations. Ensure staff are trained on and consistently follow these policies to maintain operational integrity. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Candidates have the following:
7+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience; a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred. Proven experience advising senior leadership on strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting, as well as advanced Excel skills. Highly developed organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with all stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage several projects concurrently while meeting deadlines. Proficient software skills, including MS Office Suite and accounting software. Experience in an Auto/Truck dealership is a plus.
