Controller 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 4224 Metric Drive, Winter Park, FL 32792 Position Overview The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, with strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, subcontractor billing, and percentage-of-completion accounting. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Maintain accurate job cost tracking and oversee WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific reporting requirements Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers Implement and maintain internal controls and financial procedures Supervise and develop accounting staff Support the leadership team with financial analysis and strategic planning ________________________________________ Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction industry experience required Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and WIP Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, and QuickBooks) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience leading a small finance team a plus ________________________________________ What We Offer Competitive salary and performance bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Collaborative, team-oriented work culture Opportunities for professional growth and advancement
