Position Overview The Controller supports the needs of AITC rapidly growing company.

The Controller will have extensive experience and knowledge ofgovernment contracting accounting practices. The Controller willmanage the day-to-day accounting operations in addition tooverseeing the month-end close, preparing financial statements, andworking with outside auditors. The Controller shall work closelywith the Chief Financial Officer to develop, implement, and manageexecution of operational accounting strategies across theorganization providing guidance and leadership to the team whileensuring all deadlines are met.

Responsibilities / Duties

Management Manage ongoing performance, growth, and development ofaccounting team members. Maintain company accounting policies and procedures. Maintain a comprehensive system of controls and overallaccounting functions. Promote an environment of excellent customer service andcontinual process improvement. Transactions Manage and perform daily accounting operations includingaccounts payable, travel & expense, accounts receivable,intercompany transactions, payroll, fixed assets, treasurymanagement and general ledger accounting. Execute all vendorpayments on a weekly basis. Approve ledger entries, account reconciliations and supportinganalyses while ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and FARregulatory requirements. Manage banking activity and cash flow. Perform the month-end and annual closing process ensuringtimely financial reporting as well as performing analytical reviewsof the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accountingrecords are maintained. Create and maintain indirect rate pools and allocations.

Compute monthly indirect rates and ensure the integrity of thepools and costs centers. Provide leadership, guidance, and training on financial andadministrative matters. Maintain the project and financial accounting system data andreporting capabilities. Drive operational efficiency and automation of finance andaccounting processes. Reporting Deliver timely and accurate financial statements across theCompany, including consolidation of multi-companies and jointventures. Conduct monthly program management reviews to ensure that allsignificant accounts are materially correct. Assist functionalleaders in reviewing financial reporting data that provides conciseand meaningful information. Coordinate and manage financial audits, includinginteraction/correspondence with external agencies including DCAA,DCMA, IRS, outside CPA firms, and other regulatoryagencies. Prepare annual Incurred Cost Submission. Compliance Monitor compliance with debt covenants and multi-stategovernment filing, tax reporting, and paymentrequirements. Support state and federal filings. Assist and/or reviewpreparation of tax and other government filings. Maintain compliance with government contracting standards andrequirements. Planning Assist in annual indirect rate budgets provide reporting andsupport development of forecasts. Monitor and report project variance and implement controls toguide project financial performance improvement. Support as needed, business development activities by reviewingpricing for proposals. Research technical accounting issues. Assist in annual budget Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience working for a GovernmentContractor, supporting Federal Contracts in an accountingcapacity. Experienced with various contract types (FFP, T&M,CPFF). Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) DoD knowledge. Excellent computer skills, including QuickBooks, DeltekCostpoint software and Microsoft Office Suite. Aptitude for numbers and exceptional commitment toaccuracy. Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as:preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing acomputer monitor; extensive reading.
