Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Controller to oversee all financial operations, reporting, and compliance for our organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role reporting directly to ownership. Responsibilities Manage and mentor a 10-person office team including AP/AR, payroll, and staff accountants Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Implement and monitor internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance Collaborate with operations leadership to improve unit-level profitability Coordinate with external CPA firms on tax preparation and audits Maintain accurate cash flow management and bank reporting Optimize accounting systems and lead software transitions as needed Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required) 5+ years experience as Controller, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sector Strong understanding of restaurant P&Ls, inventory systems, and labor costing Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage and Great Plains …Paycor and Toast payroll or similar platforms Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work on-site at our Winter Park office If you are passionate about numbers and want to contribute to a dynamic team that values quality dining experiences, we invite you to apply for the Unit Controller position at Golden Corral today!
