Compensation:

$80,000-$95,000 annually + benefits package (health, PTO, holidays, etc.)
Our client, a respected organization headquartered in Kissimmee, FL, is seeking a hands-on and experienced Controller to lead and manage all aspects of the company’s financial operations. This individual will play a key leadership role, partnering with the executive team to drive financial accuracy, strategic planning, and compliance. The ideal candidate is not only highly organized and detail-oriented, but also confident leading an internal team and collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Oversight
Lead and supervise all functions related to accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and HR-related financial processes.
Maintain accurate and consistent financial records, ensuring integrity across all systems and reporting.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports).
Present financial insights and key metrics to leadership to support data-driven decisions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Coordinate and manage the company’s budgeting process, collaborating with department heads.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending adjustments.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Implement and maintain internal control systems to protect assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and financial standards.
Work closely with external accountants and auditors to support tax filings and regulatory compliance.
Strategic Financial Planning
Provide financial guidance for long-term planning and goal alignment with the company’s business strategy.
Assess risks and opportunities, delivering sound recommendations for cost management and revenue growth.
Team Leadership
Mentor, support, and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with executive leadership, including operations and ownership, to align financial strategy with broader business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Significant experience in a Controller or senior-level accounting role.
Strong background in cash reconciliation, account analysis, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
