In this key role, you’ll assist the Controller in overseeing daily accounting functions, financial reporting, month-end close, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. You’ll also support cross-departmental budgeting, payroll, capital project tracking, and system upgrades—all while helping us maintain strong financial controls and transparency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finalize month-end reports and financial statements with variance analysis Manage capital budget tracking and fixed assets Process bi-weekly payroll and review journal entries Assist in policy development and internal control implementation Provide financial support to department managers, including P&L reviews Prepare financial reports for the Board, Committees, and senior leadership Coordinate audit and Finance Committee meetings Oversee classification of operating and capital expenses File sales tax and worker’s compensation reports Provide leadership and guidance to Sr. Accountant, AP/AR staff, and support other departments
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (club or hospitality preferred) Proficiency in Excel, Jonas Club Software, and Point-of-Sale systems Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills Understanding of internal controls, payroll, financial forecasting, and GAAP Excellent written and verbal communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Primarily office-based with moderate noise levels Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs may be required Regular use of computer and attendance in meetings
