This is a high-impact role responsible for owning and optimizing all financial reporting and control functions. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, rolling up your sleeves to ensure clean books, accurate reporting, and scalable processes that fuel growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Own the full general ledger and maintain GAAP-compliant financials Lead all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements and executive dashboards Internal Controls & Process Development Develop and enforce financial policies, internal controls, and best practices Streamline workflows and improve accuracy through process innovation Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Operational Finance & Cash Management Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking relationships Maintain cash flow visibility and prepare forecasts to support decision-making Deliver budget vs. actual analysis for each business unit and project line Strategic Initiatives & Growth Support Build financial models to support M&A, expansions, and capital investments Partner with leadership to assess the financial implications of new ventures Lead financial due diligence and integration efforts when acquiring new entities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA highly preferred) 7-10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance role Strong command of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and modern financial reporting tools Experience managing multi-entity structures and/or service-based operations preferred Demonstrated ability to build processes from scratch and scale financial systems High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong leadership presence Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders Perks & Benefits Competitive salary with performance-based incentives Health insurance and retirement plan options Opportunity to shape the finance function of a fast-growing business Dynamic team environment with leadership that values transparency, trust, and innovation About Us We serve Palm Beach County with a long-standing commitment to quality, reliability, and professionalism.
