Position Overview:

The Controller will be responsible for leading the accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insight. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of hospitality operations. Controller:

The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close. Prepare financial statements and management reports. Analyze financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements. The Controller will manage budgeting and forecasting processes. Work closely with Operations to monitor cost controls and identify financial opportunities. Supervise and mentor accounting team members. The Controller will coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Required Experience/Skills for the

Controller:

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Direct experience working in the hospitality industry (e.g., hotels, resorts, restaurants, and country clubs). Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Preferred Experience/Skills for the

Controller:

Public accounting experience with hospitality clients. Experience implementing or improving accounting systems. CPA designation is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not required. CPA is preferred but not required.
