The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and maintaining the financial health of the organization. This role entails strategic planning, financial reporting, and the management of financial resources to maximize profitability and support the hotels objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and all financial regulations within the hotel industry.
Manage the monthly close process, including the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and decision making.
Conduct regular financial analysis and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Lead the accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Collaborate with department heads to align financial objectives with overall hotel goals.
Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position within the hotel or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations relevant to the hotel industry.
Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
