Overview:

John C. Cassidy is looking for an experienced and dedicated VP of Accounting & Finance who will be responsible for supervision and control of the general accounting functions, financial statement and report preparation, ensure accounting activities are in accordance with GAAP and lender reporting requirements, and lead the annual audit process. The VP of Accounting and Finance will also report on metrics to optimize our growth by understanding where efficiencies exist to maximize scalability throughout the year and lead the analytical and planning support for the preparation of the annual budget and forecast processes.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the finance and accounting team and oversee its operations Provide analytical support for projects, strategic initiatives and ad hoc situations to enhance organizational decision making Direct the development and monthly review of financials to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to management to effectively manage the operations Oversee the annual budget by establishing guidelines for budgeting, establishing deadlines and partner with management to create operational budgets by branch Assist in preparations and responses to questions tied to the annual audit Develop and update the budget model for financial and budget variance reporting Coach and develop team, assess skills and coordinate training as necessary Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs Ensure financial strategies align with business objectives

What You’ll Bring:

Proven work experience as a VP of Accounting & Finance or similar role In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment Partner with Chief Executive Officer to establish and track revenue goals Possesses critical knowledge of federal and multiple state tax laws as well as basic accounting issues A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is preferred Working at John C.
