Job Description:

The Global Controller will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial controls at a rapidly growing global business. This position reports directly to the CFO, will oversee the accounting function, and drive the implementation of robust processes aligned with our strategic objectives.

Essential Functions:

Oversee the monthly closing process across multiple reporting entities, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy in consolidated financial statements Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures, appropriately non-burdensome for a private company, but with a long-term vision towards public SOX compliance Ensure timely completion of external audits and tax compliance Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals (function of ~30 employees includes direct reports in the head office and dotted-line reports in the business units), providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement Drive ERP implementation (SAP) and fully leverage technical functionality to improve operational efficiency. Be prepared to integrate future acquired entities Lead the transition from locally managed AR and AP activities to a best-in-class, highly automated global shared service

Qualifications:

Active CPA with strong technical accounting knowledge and GAAP Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related 15years of experience in related controller or finance leadership roles Deep understanding of intercompany transactions and reporting including multi-entity intercompany eliminations and FX components Proven organizational leadership and mentorship skills, especially in a matrixed environment Experience with ERP (SAP) implementation projects

Preferred Additional Skills:
