Task Force Hotel Controller SkyBeach Resort Saint Petersburg, FL 33711 JOB
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume the responsibilities of the Property Controller when the position is vacant, when the Controller is on leave, or when a hotel property needs additional financial support. Serve as the temporary on-property financial leader. Provide support to departmental managers and the general manager with financial management including bi-weekly forecasting. Review daily income journal for accuracy, reconciliation of daily cash and credit card deposits and ensuring the Guest, City and Advance Deposit ledgers balance to the general ledger Manage the accounts receivable functions, ensuring the accounts are in good standing. Run accounting platforms with an emphasis on the purchase order and accounting systems Process credit card and cash deposits in an accurate and timely manner. Reconcile daily sales and lodging taxes collected. Provide the General Manager with timely and accurate data and financial reports. Train new Associates on procedures, auditing, cash controls, payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other related duties based on existing policies. Perform the role as principal hotel financial training resource for the General Managers and other team members on accounting policies, procedures, and systems. Conduct monthly financial reviews with General Managers. Perform field operational internal control audits on a regular basis to track SOP Compliance. Implement Standard Operating Procedures, internal controls, and safeguards for property assets Work with on-boarding and off-boarding teams for smooth transitions. Participate in the budget process.
