Director of Finance Outpost Brands Daytona Beach, FL 32114 Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategies. This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing and managing all aspects of production within a manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring efficient and cost-effective processes, maintaining high standards of quality control, and leading a team of professionals. Focused on optimizing industrial operations, the Director collaborates with various departments to enhance productivity, streamline supply chains, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This leadership position demands strategic planning, problem-solving, and the ability to foster an environment of innovation and safety, ultimately contributing to the company’s overall success and growth. Responsibilities Oversee the management of the daily operations of the accounting department ensuring seamless financial operations Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting with the goal to deliver precise month-end financial statements by the 10th of each month Provide regular updates on weekly cash flow management, production metrics and performance data in order to facilitate informed decision-making Knowledge of cost accounting, efficiency, profitability and operational KPIs Proactively address operational challenges and emerging trends, providing valuable insights to optimize operational efficiency. Oversee database design and database quality (Fishbowl) Maintain data integrity of ERP (Fishbowl) including maintenance. Oversee the intricate process of inventory cost allocation and closing, maintaining a keen eye on cost efficiency. Implement strategic realignment of trial balance and General Ledger coding to accurately reflect indirect costs, direct costs, and general administrative expenses. Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team, offering strategic recommendations grounded in comprehensive financial analysis and projections. Take charge of long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s overarching strategic objectives. Lead the year-end audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating a seamless audit experience. Preparation of work papers required for the annual tax return and coordination with external tax preparers. This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed. Experience A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or relevant certification (CPA/CMA) is preferred. Extensive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Manufacturing industry experience preferred. Proven expertise in account analysis, cost management, forecasting, compliance management, IAS, IFRS, balance sheet reconciliation, treasury management, technical accounting, and financial report interpretation. Strong EXCEL skills and accounting information systems experience. Fishbowl experience a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
