Full-Time Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Operations Manager with strong financial oversight capabilities to lead and optimize our internal operations, vendor relationships, and business processes. This individual will manage all back-office functions, maintain financial health through tools like QuickBooks, and drive initiatives that improve profitability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience from an electrical distribution supply house and/or an eCommerce environment, with a solid foundation in compliance, documentation, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
Lead day-to-day operations across finance, HR, logistics, procurement, and compliance.
Financial Oversight:
Maintain and manage financial records in QuickBooks; oversee cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting; implement strategies to improve margins and reduce costs.
Vendor Relations & Negotiations:
Manage and negotiate with factory partners to improve terms, reduce expenses, and increase vendor performance.
Team Leadership:
Manage a team of approximately 10 employees; promote accountability, cross-training, and high productivity.
Documentation & Compliance:
Develop, update, and maintain all operational and financial documentation; ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Process Improvement:
Analyze existing workflows and lead initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.
Technology & Systems:
Recommend and implement tools to streamline operations; support the expansion of the company’s website to include a fully functional online store.
Travel:
Must be able to travel regularly to Marietta, GA to oversee on-site operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field (MBA a plus) 5-10+ years of experience in operations and financial management roles Proficiency in QuickBooks and general financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control Leadership experience in an electrical distribution or supply chain-heavy environment Demonstrated success managing teams and cross-functional initiatives Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP or business management software
Preferred Skills:
Experience in electrical supply, B2B distribution, or industrial retail Background in launching or managing online store platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) Familiarity with process improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma Project Management certification (PMP or similar) is a plus A top candidate would bring: Technical fluency in medium-voltage electrical systems Channel/vendor experience with strong negotiation skills ERP leadership and financial P&L expertise Operational excellence mindset (Lean/continuous improvement) Hands-on capability launching a B2B eCommerce platform Regulatory and cross-state compliance understood
