Full-Time DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a rapidly growing, dynamic manufacturing company to find an experienced and motivated Director of Finance . This role is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial functions including cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Director of Finance will work closely with senior leadership to shape financial strategy and drive operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Control:
Lead preparation of monthly financial reports, departmental budgets, and forecasts. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes. Oversee cash forecasting, accounts receivable collections, and supplier payments. Ensure financial control through balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset accounting. Maintain and improve reporting structures within the company’s ERP/MRP system.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Policy Development:
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures. Drive the corporate budgeting process and manage capital expenditure plans. Maintain company cash management policies and ensure liquidity.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Identify and reduce financial risks. Ensure compliance with tax laws, government regulations, and industry standards. Serve as the main point of contact for auditors, banks, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
Cost Control & Analysis:
Work with department heads to manage costs and drive efficiency improvements. Create and maintain cost analysis frameworks for manufacturing overhead and operational costs.
Grants, Incentives & Profitability Reviews:
Research and advise on applicable grants and incentives (such as R D credits). Conduct profitability reviews and make recommendations to optimize margins.
Financial Projects & Operational Improvements:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes and reporting. Support new product launches, customer pricing analysis, and purchasing decisions.
Leadership & Team Development:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a finance and accounting team of 2-4 professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration within the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred). CPA required ; CMA and/or CFA a plus. Minimum 10 years of finance or accounting experience , including 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash management, financial reporting, and cost accounting. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
