The Controller will oversee financial operations within the construction industry, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective budgeting and forecasting.
This role is pivotal in guiding the financial strategy of the company and enhancing its overall financial health. Key Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Develop and manage the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, providing insights to senior management.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Oversee cash flow management and financial planning, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Provide financial analysis and strategic planning support to project management teams to optimize profitability and cost control.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within the construction industry.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and project management principles.
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
Experience with cost control and cash flow management in a construction environment.
Familiarity with tax compliance and audit management processes.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strategic mindset.
Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.
