Controller- CPA required 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Alpharetta, GA Our client is a leading manufacturer and they wish to hire a Controller that will be responsible for all accounting functions related to the manufacturing. In addition, provide financial and operational advice to the management team to support all operations. Essential duties will include- Provide analysis and insight to management and corporate about financial results of operations. Develop and implement specific processes to evaluate and support business issues, including new product development, plant changes, staffing decisions, and future business opportunities. Manage the financial close and reporting process. Develop, implement, and monitor a set of internal control procedures to ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, reviewed, approved, and recorded in accordance with division guidelines, company policies, and generally accepted accounting principles. Serve as a primary support contact for the Accounting and Manufacturing Computer Systems. Implement, as needed, changes to the system to meet business needs. Work with IT Support to ensure the system functions as defined and needed and that issues related to performance are addressed promptly. Responsibilities also include playing a pivotal role in developing the overall technology and assisting in the implementation. Manage the creation and deployment of an Electronic Data Interface strategy, including maintaining all EDI tables and translation files to ensure records time processed into the system and customer interfaces are working correctly. Manage the weekly payroll process, including the accumulation of time and the recording on incentive-based pay to ensure payments are made timely and in accordance with company, local, state, and federal requirements. Maintain the inventory standard costing integrity within the system to ensure transactions are correctly valued and recorded. Manage the accounts payable process. Ensure that all expenditures of the division are adequately documented, reviewed, and approved. Ensure that all payments are authorized, made on time, and accurate. Job Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 8+ years relevant experience CPA Manufacturing industry experience Strong Excel skills Experience with ERP applications
