Job Description
OPPORTUNITY
Our client is in the entertainment space with over 25 years of experience bringing live action performances to fans around the United States. This VP of Finance role will report directly to firm leadership and is a great opportunity for an accomplished accounting professional to oversee accounting operations and drive strategic financial initiatives forward.
SCOPE OF WORK
Plan, manage, implement, and control all finance and accounting operations Act as a strategic leader for all finance and accounting operations, reporting findings and operations to executive leadership on a regular basis (CEO, COO) Oversee financial operations including, but not limited to; financial planning, budgeting, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, deal analysis, investor relations, financial compliance, and funding. Provide mentorship and direction to Finance and Accounting divisions. Manage external vendor contracts and relationships, including external payroll, banking, and tax preparation partners. Provide direction to other divisions including IT, Human Resources, Risk Management, with regards to financial planning and business operations. Build, manage, and monitor long- and short- term strategic financial plans. Evaluate the success of financial strategies and make suggestions when change if needed. Develop and implement financial controls, new accounting software, and financial operations processes when required. Manage processes related to forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and financial reporting. Oversee cash, asset, and capital management. Manage allocation of shared services across functional areas of the business Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Master’s degree and eligibility or completion of CPA exam preferred. 6+ years managing daily financial operations of an organization is required. Background in accounting is preferred. High level of integrity, dependability, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. Proven track record of success managing organizational budgets, implementing financial controls, and forecasting/financial reporting functions required. Prior experience in the entertainment or retail space is preferred, but not required. Ability to regularly work on-site in the Atlanta market is required.
