This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial professional to bring their leadership and expertise to a dynamic credit union dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve. The Controller plays a critical leadership role, overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and the daily operations of our Finance Department. This position ensures accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight, while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Key Responsibilities Reporting & Compliance:

Lead the credit union’s accounting and financial reporting functions. Ensure timely, accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Maintain internal controls and prepare information for auditors, management, and the Board of Directors. Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance to executive leadership.

Leadership & Operations:

Manage and develop Finance Department staff, including payroll and accounts payable functions. Administer departmental software systems and support process improvements.

Planning & Risk Management:

Support the CFO and VP Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Protect credit union assets through strong internal controls and operational oversight.

Technical & Tactical:

Perform month-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals. Support and train team members on financial processes such as fixed asset tracking, bank reconciliations, investment portfolio accounting, and payroll. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required, Finance or Accounting degree is preferred. Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting area (financial institution experience strongly preferred) Knowledge of credit union regulations and the banking industry Experience with Prologue and ADP payroll systems preferred Why Campus Federal?
