Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction accounting. In-depth knowledge of construction industry financial practices, including job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Viewpoint) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations specific to the construction industry. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders. Experience with municipal or utility construction projects is a plus.
