Your Role As an Assistant Controller , you’ll take on a dynamic role where leadership and innovation meet financial precision. With a focus on managing our strategic financial operations , you’ll contribute to project cost tracking, compliance, and reporting for impactful municipal infrastructure and civil engineering initiatives . What You’ll Do Financial Operations :
Supervise accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll , and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Project Financial Management :
Handle job costing, billable hours , and financial tracking for municipal contracts and infrastructure projects.
Budgeting and Forecasting :
Develop budgets, financial plans, and forecasts, while identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
Compliance & Controls :
Maintain internal controls and adhere to government contract guidelines, including FEMA regulations .
Leadership & Collaboration :
Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with project teams to ensure financial accuracy and support successful project delivery .
Process Improvement :
Streamline accounting systems and enhance efficiency using technology-driven solutions tailored to project-specific needs.
What We’re Looking For Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred .
Licensing :
CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
Experience :
7-10 years in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Background in medium-sized business financial management or similar environments.
Skills :
