Controller Position Available In Jefferson, Louisiana

Controller Confidential Metairie, LA 70002 We are a large construction company with great benefits looking to bring on a Controller. The ideal candidate will manage accounting operations, oversees budgets, ensures accurate financial statements, implements internal controls, and supervises accounting staff. The candidate will be responsible for job costing , accounts payables and receivables, general leger, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Overseeing reporting systems to ensure GAAP compliance, preparing financial statements, analyzing data, and monitoring performance.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assisting with or creating budgets and forecasts, reviewing financial plans, and managing departmental budgets.

Accounting Operations:

Managing areas like billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and payroll, maintaining internal controls, and managing cash flow.

Compliance and Audits:

Ensuring processes meet regulations, coordinating audits, and staying current with accounting rules.

Team Management:

Leading and directing accounting staff, supervising employees, and managing staff performance.

Other Duties:

Developing best practices, collaborating with other departments, and advising management.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Controller or similar role. Knowledge of GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication and leadership skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Organizational and time management skills.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$70,000.00 – $86,000.00 per year
