In 2023, AIS partnered with Crete United to grow the integrated commercial services business throughout Louisiana, Texas and the southeast. Continually striving to create new and cost-effective solutions, the AIS team refuses to settle for the status quo and always looks to expand the services we offer customers. We are seeking a Controller to join our Team in Youngsville, LA . The Controller position will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position is further responsible for cash management, forecasting risk management and payroll oversight. Position Requirements Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and ensure that transactions are recorded timely and properly. Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly. Ensure payroll is processed in a timely manner. Ensure that periodic banking and other balance sheet account reconciliations are completed on a timely basis. Coordinate the Service Department to ensure that appropriate and timely billing is produced for service customers. Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis. Maintain a chart of accounts Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions. Review owner or subcontractor contracts for payment terms, bonding requirements and insurance requirements. Issue timely and complete financial statements. Recommend benchmarks to measure the performance of company operations. Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics. Assist with the production of the annual budget and forecasts. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. Complete and/or assist with all audits including sales tax, 401K, Workers Compensation and annual audits as required. Provide a system of management cost reports. Other duties may be assigned Minimum 5 years of prior accounting experience w/ a focus on technical accounting•construction/service/contractor strongly preferred 2+ years of experience in an Accounting Manager or similar role Bachelor’s degree in accounting Systems integration experience Understanding of service workorder billing Accounts payable, payroll and benefit processing Ability to work autonomously, open to taking direction as needed Exceptional communication and leadership skills Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills An ownership mindset with a high degree of accountability for accuracy and meeting deadlines Detailed-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, completion, and compliance Microsoft office user•strong excel, vlookup, macros, etc. Viewpoint Spectrum experience a plus
