Headquartered in New Orleans, Interior Exterior Building Supply has 33 branches located throughout the region. We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented Assistant Controller to work under the direction of the Controller. The Assistant Controller will lead the day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of financial auditing work.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting. Assist accounting department staff with daily issues, problem solving, workload adjustments and prioritizations to maximize department effectiveness. Assist with the preparation of financial statements. Review accounting information to identify and resolve any inaccuracies or imbalances to ensure accuracy of the general ledger. Provide leadership, training, and development to accounting staff. Suggest & assist with implementing process improvements and internal controls. Provide support to CFO, Controller, and 33 branches. Assist and provide support for special projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Four years of relevant accounting experience with two years supervisory experience. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Advanced proficiency with MS-Office applications. Strong Knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations. Outstanding problem-solving skills.
