Qualifications:

Three to five years of financial management experience. Related experience in a non-profit, accounting and/or quasi-governmental setting, along with experience writing grants is desirable. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for one year of financial management experience. A Criminal Records clearance from the State Police is required. Is not currently recorded as a perpetrator on the State Central Registry Disclosure Form.

Position Summary:
- Directs the planning, strategic goals and objectives of the fiscal function within the agency. Organizes and maintains financial accounting systems, including accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, payroll, cash disbursements, financial statements, purchasing, budgeting, tax information and grants. Serves on the Core Management Team.

Plans and develops objectives regarding short and long range accounting programs in specific areas such as budgeting, accounting systems, reporting, payroll, purchasing and internal auditing.“`{=html}“`2. Executes financial accounting functions to insure accurate recording and reporting of agency financial information; provides recommendations regarding improvements in fiscal management and accounting of agency.“`{=html}“`3. Ensures the timely payment of current liabilities to creditors, proper recording and control of cash receipts, recording of fixed assets, development of adequate procedures, instructions, controls, records and reports.“`{=html}“`4. Prepares monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements and comparative reports, and account reconciliations.“`{=html}“`5. Prepares statistical information and reports for Board meetings, management, government and other agencies; prepares cost reports for state purchase of service contracts/agreements. Briefs the Board of Directors or committees as requested by the Executive Director.“`{=html}“`6. Works with the Executive Director to develop and approve financial statements, including balance sheets and income/expense data.“`{=html}“`7. Maintains responsibility for fiscal accounting of agency grants, per diem and contributions; insures donations are accounted for in accordance with IRS requirements; maintains fiscal accountability of specific agency programs.“`{=html}“`8. Insures that payroll functions are processed accurately and that related reports are prepared.“`{=html}“`9. Insures various fiscal deadlines are met and appropriate/accurate data is provided.“`{=html}“`10.
