Job Description:

A manufacturing facility is seeking a highly motivated Plant Controller to lead financial operations and support plant leadership with timely and accurate financial data. This hands-on role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and ensuring effective internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and present annual budgets and interim forecasts Prepare monthly financial statements for senior management Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Analyze labor, variable costs, operational spending, and inventory to identify cost-saving opportunities Lead the development and analysis of standard costs Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle count programs Assist with capital expenditure planning and analysis Enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies Support special projects and provide financial leadership on cost-saving initiatives Monitor performance against budgets and prior-year benchmarks Manage month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA)

Experience:

2 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing accounting Strong understanding of inventory management, standard costing, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Global Shop) Familiarity with corporate accounting policies and procedures Proficient in spreadsheets, word processing, and accounting software Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
