Job Description
Church Administration and Finance Director First Parish Brewster UU 1 Harwich Road, Brewster, MA 02631 Job Functions in the administration office at First Parish Brewster UU Church.
Financial Responsibilities :
Includes Bookkeeping Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reports, Journal Entries, Onboarding Employees, Benefits Administration.
Records Management:
Maintain and improve the church’s records, property documents and other relevant materials.
Systems:
Create and maintain systems to streamline and improve efficiency, communications and management. Provide yearly review in compliance with policies and procedures.
Membership Pledge Record Management:
Oversee management of membership and ensure confidentiality of pledge record database.
Human Resource Mangement and Support :
Process payroll including staff benefits and maintenance of personnel records. Development of and responsible for new hire onboarding, including checklist of tasks and roles. Implement HR requirements, general policies and procedures as regulated by Federal and State laws. Hold regular supervisory meetings with staff. Work to set goals and objectives with staff. Conduct annual evaluations and submit recommendations to the minister.
Leadership and Program Support:
Serve as key resource to representatives of program areas about the church and its policies and procedures. Supervise Administrative Assistant to provide support for boards, committees, task forces, congregational meetings and other projects. Performs all other related work as required by supervisors. Proficient with : QuickBooks Online, Breeze Church management system,
Google:
Docs, Sheets.
Microsoft:
Excel, Word, Publisher. WordPress and other website platforms. Mailchimp, and other Social Media platforms.
