Full Job Description Position Overview:

The Cordeiro Group is seeking an experienced Controller to manage the financial operations of our portfolio of 25+ LLCs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all financial matters for the company. The Controller will play a critical role by overseeing and implementing day-to-day finance and accounting operations. This position reports directly to the owners.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain financial records, oversee preparation and recording of all accounting entries, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements. Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting processes to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to owners. Supervision of accounts payable processes and related vendor statements and payments. Lead the annual audit process, working closely with tax accountants and external auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion. Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance across all entities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance. Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with LLC structures and taxation. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Advanced communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
