DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Riverside Industries, Inc. is located at One Cottage Street and has been in the heart of downtown Easthampton, MA, for over 50 years! Riverside is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team and support our mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live rich and full lives! Riverside takes pride in its family feel and atmosphere, offering a supportive and rewarding work environment with collaborative supervision and training. The Director of Finance will oversee all company financial activities to ensure it stays in strong financial standing. The Director of Finance is responsible for accounting systems, procedures, and policies; preparation of external and internal detailed financial reports and statements; generation of data and reports for the development and tracking of operating budgets; data analysis and forecasting. The responsibilities of the Director of Finance include but are not limited to: Drive financial planning by analyzing performance and risks Retain constant awareness of organization’s financial position and act to prevent problems Set up and oversee organization’s finance IT system Develop budgets that meet the requirements of Riverside’s departments Recognize patterns in spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the organization Oversee all audit and internal control operations Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on monthly, quarterly , and annual basis Conduct analysis to make forecasts and reports to the President and Board of Directors Ensure adherence to all financial laws and guidelines
Requirements:
The requirements of the Director of Finance include but are not limited to: Proven experience as Director of Finance, or similar role In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and GAAP Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting Proficient in MS Office and financial management software Have an analytical mind, with strategic ability Possess excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills BS in Accounting, or a related field required Minimum 5 years’ Finance and Accounting experience This is a full time, exempt position located in Easthampton, MA. Could be a hybrid position for the right candidate
