Primary Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting:
Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP). Prepare timely and accurate analyses of month-end and year-end financial reports for the executive team Lead all aspects of financial reporting and the monthly close process with full responsibility for timeliness and accuracy Direct responsibility for accounting for complex accounting and disclosure areas, such as revenue recognition, reserves, certain accruals, segment and other disclosures
AP/AR Coordination:
Make timely payments to vendors based on direction from executive team and collect accounts receivable with the help of the team
Financial Integration :
Lead post-acquisition financial integrations for future acquisitions including ERP migrations, accounting changes, and consolidation of financials.
Banking:
Monitor banking activities; Manage and reconcile all bank accounts
KPI Reporting and Analysis:
Lead efforts on reporting weekly key-performance-indicators and distributing to management and ownership team.
Cash Flow Management :
Manage cash flows across the organization in conjunction with direction from executive team, ensuring optimal liquidity and forecasting future financial needs.
BudgetingForecasting:
Oversee the budgeting process, creating detailed budgets, tracking performance, and providing variance reports to support leadership’s decision-making. Work with each department to ensure they are not exceeding their budgets.
Compliance :
Ensure the company remains compliant with all financial regulations, government reporting, and financial disclosures.
Job Costing Oversight:
Manage financial data input into ERP systems, overseeing reporting, invoicing, and audit preparation. Optimize the use of RP tools for financial reporting and automation.
Cost Management:
Identify opportunities for cost savings across the organization and present recommendations to senior management. P ayroll
Oversight:
Run payroll in-house each week and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Maintains strictest confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Commissions Tracking:
Track and monitor all commissions made on sales. Create reports showing commissions earned vs revenue from specific accounts.
Ad-Hoc Financial Projects:
Participate in special projects related to mergers and acquisitions, financial system integrations, and other strategic initiatives as needed. Job Requirements and Preferences Must be 21+ or older Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance required Minimum 3 years of management experience, 5 years preferred Experience with other MA cannabis companies is preferred Experience with using quickbooks online Must be well-organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple concurrent priorities and objectives Highly ethical, hard-working, goal and deadline oriented Experience leading projects and understanding of project management methodology. Strong analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to drive process improvements. Excellent verbal and written communication. Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the business. Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
