Job Requirements Are you a skilled finance professional with a passion for leadership and strategic impact? We’re seeking a Director of Finance to oversee reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis while mentoring a high-performing team and driving initiatives that improve financial and operational performance.
Location:
Hybrid at our Support Center in Westminster, MA Manage and mentor Financial Analyst(s), promoting professional growth and a collaborative team environment. Oversee the analysts’ reporting and analysis efforts, guiding prioritization and ensuring accuracy. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team. Assist in producing and reviewing monthly financial reports and analysis, including a comprehensive memo detailing significant variances from the budget and the prior year. Provide ongoing flux analysis and actionable insights to stakeholders. Collaborate on the Five-Year Strategic Plan, a critical component of third-party company valuation processes. Lead the annual budget process, including the design of effective budget models for expenses and revenue. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the budget’s accuracy and completeness. Provide pro forma financial statements for new store acquisitions, expansions, or relocations. Create monthly reporting to measure the financial performance of new acquisitions. Develop actionable reporting for regional and store management by coordinating with end-users to understand their needs. Evaluate and implement process improvements, including leveraging robotic process automation to enhance efficiency. Establish methodologies for comparing capital investments to optimize financial value. Complete various ad hoc requests for the Vice President of Finance and Accounting, such as preparing board presentations and creating SQL server scripts. Play a key role in monthly and annual close processes, including reconciling inventory, reserves, and expenses. Oversee purchase volume rebate, advertising allowance, and patronage dividend tracking and collection. Collaborate with accounting on GAAP compliance for reserves and allowances, such as ASC 606 and loyalty points. Manage relationships with external partners, including robotic process automation providers. Work Experience Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred. CPA, CFA, or similar professional designation a plus. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Proven track record of leading teams and driving financial performance improvements. Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial modeling is required; Workday/Adaptive Planning experience is a plus. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail. Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial regulations. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and adapt to changing business needs. Benefits 401(k) with Match Program
