About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Controller to lead day-to-day financial operations and provide critical insight into the company’s performance. You’ll manage A/P, A/R, payroll, reporting, and financial systems integration while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all accounting functions. What You’ll Do Oversee general accounting, financial reporting, and statistical analysis Manage entries and daily functions in QuickBooks Online Reconcile data across QuickBooks, Square, HubSpot, and other systems Lead the monthly close process and maintain accurate books Audit journal entries and enforce proper accounting policies Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow analyses Generate internal reports and support tax return documentation Analyze financials to identify cost savings and revenue opportunities Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and vendor transactions Reconcile credit cards and track expenses Support departments with financial data and reporting needs Mentor accounting team and uphold high-performance standards Additional duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or Master’s preferred) 3+ years of Controller-level experience with team leadership Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting software Excellent communication and collaboration skills Hands-on, proactive leadership style Other Details Ability to sit or stand for long periods and work at a computer Travel required 10-20% for meetings and events Reasonable accommodations available as needed Commitment to Diversity As an equal opportunity employer committed to meeting the needs of a multigenerational and multicultural workforce Shivers Buildings recognizes that a diverse staff, reflective of our community, is an integral and welcome part of a successful and ethical business. $85,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
