We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controllerto join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunityto oversee and manage all aspects of our company’s financialoperations. The successful candidate will be responsible for costaccounting, ledger management, financial statements, and annualbudget planning. This role will have a significant impact on theorganization’s financial health and strategic direction. ThePermanent Controller will report directly to the CFO and will workclosely with other key members of the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounting operations includingBilling, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, andRevenue Recognition. 2. Manage and comply with local, state, andfederal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 3.Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financialforecasts, and report variances. 4. Prepare and publish timelymonthly financial statements. 5. Coordinate the preparation ofregulatory reporting. 6. Research technical accounting issues forcompliance. 7. Support month-end and year-end close process. 8.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financialreporting. 9. Manage and comply with local, state, and federalgovernment reporting requirements and tax filings. 10. Develop anddocument business processes and accounting policies to maintain andstrengthen internal controls. 11. Additional controller duties asnecessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,Finance, or a related field. A CPA or related qualification is aplus. 2. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a seniorrole such as a Controller or an equivalent position. 3. Solidunderstanding of cost accounting, ledger management, financialstatements, and annual budget planning. 4. Proven knowledge ofbookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws,and regulations. 5. High attention to detail and accuracy. 6.Ability to direct and supervise. 7. Strong working knowledge ofExcel and other Microsoft Office products. Hands-on experience withaccounting software and databases. 8. Excellent communication,leadership, and project management skills. 9. Strong problemsolving and analytical skills. 10. Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team. 11. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlinesand handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 12.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 13. Highlevel of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgencyand results-orientation.
