Finance Controller 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Tunica, MS It is the primary responsibility of the Controller is to support the Executive Director Finance Operations in finance initiatives, processes, and policies. All duties are to be performed per departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs the organization’s accounting and finance functions. Establishes and maintains the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Develops, streamlines, implements all processes and internal controls, and meets all regulatory requirements. Ensures accuracy and completeness of the Financial Statements to include the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow. Reviews reconcile financial statements and accounts per the established monthly financial schedule, assisting with reconciliations when needed. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the executive leadership and participate in the property-level budgeting process. Assists with the internal and external audits. Ensures the Company’s compliance with the MS Department of Revenue. Suggests ways to increase revenues and decrease expenses for profit maximization, while protecting assets and minimizing liabilities. Reviews financial and operational reports and presents findings and recommendations to leadership. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a similar field is required. 5+ years of previous finance experience or related field.
PREFERRED
: MBA and/or CPA. 10+ years of previous finance experience or related field. Experience in financial modeling and analysis with previous experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting is strongly preferred. Previous experience working in a similar corporate setting.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.

Must fully understand the accounting cycle. Must possess strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, sound judgment, superior decision-making, and problem-solving skills with excellent oral and written communication to effectively deal with internal and external contacts. Must be able to move freely about the office, sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as walking, standing, bending, maintain manual dexterity to access the computer via computer keyboard, operate office equipment, access all areas of the facility, and travel off the property when representing the company. Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral forms. Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. Maintain a professional, neat, and well‐groomed appearance, adhering to company standards. Must be able to travel; domestically and internationally. Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
