Controller
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time/Fractional Controller to manage and oversee financial operations for a growing organization in Asheville, North Carolina. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. This is a Long-term, Remote, Contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain financial records across multiple company files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to optimize cash flow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure transactional-level accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Utilize accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks Online, to streamline financial management and reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets to support strategic planning and organizational growth.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial policies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and outcomes.
  • Support integration and alignment of financial systems with business operations.
  • Proven experience in financial management or as a Controller.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
  • Familiarity with auditing practices and budget preparation.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
