Interim Hospital Controller | 50% Travel Position Available In Buncombe, North Carolina

Vaco is seeking an interim healthcare controller in North Carolina to support a hospital client during a transition. This role requires previous experience managing the accounting function at the acute care/facility level. Requires someone to be on-site 2 weeks a month (50% travel). This hospital is less than 60 miles outside of Asheville. As an interim Controller, you will serve as a financial expert for the hospital accounting team. This role involves leading/contributing to monthly close, budget management, providing analytical support, and supervising staff.

Requirements:

Must bring 10+ years of accounting experience, with proven track record as a controller or director of finance in a for-profit acute care hospital facility (non-profit will not be considered) Ability to lead a team as well as contribute to monthly close, quarter-end, year-end, audit management, and financial reporting Must be readily available and willing to commit to 4 months Able to travel (overnight) for the first 2 weeks of the month during the course of the project, and for initial training or as needed
