Your Responsibilities on the Team Lead,coach, mentor and manage individuals and team to ensure topperformance of all team members in achieving desired results whilefinding efficient and effective solutions that create overallorganizational value. Manage month-end-close process accurately andtimely in conjunction with corporate deadlines Provide detailed andanalytical explanations of variances in actual financial datacompared to forecasted results Manage payables process and ensureaccurate and timely payment to vendors Manage payroll process andensure the accuracy of payroll submissions and the proper recordretention for auditing purposes Possess complete understanding ofthe Accounting Policy Manual and ensure that policies are compliedwith Review Joint Venture financials Prepare analysis for landtake-downs Responsible for monthly budget review Monitor salesactivity through weekly traffic, sales, starts and closings reportProvide weekly and monthly statistical/financial reporting toDivision Management Projects assigned by

Manage and superviseAccounting staff Ensure that associates follow company policies andprocedures Interview and recruit Accounting team Responsible for,along with the Controller, providing associates with ongoing,timely, candid and constructive feedback; developing associates totheir full potential Develop performance improvement plans if anassociate’s performance is not meeting expectations Ability toeffectively manage staff through ensuring appropriate staffing,providing formal and informal evaluations/feedback, addressingassociate issues when warranted and providing appropriate trainingand mentoring Manage month-end-close process, payable process, etcOrganize and prioritize work activities while utilizing efficienttime management skills in meeting deadlines and staying on scheduleRequirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, CPApreferred MBA preferred Seven years minimum experience required inthe position of a Controller, Comptroller, and or Director ofFinance. including homebuilding experience Advanced computer skillsexperience required- Microsoft Word and Excel, including the use ofHyperion, EssBase and JD Edwards Excellent attention to detailProfessionally perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks withsimultaneous deadlines Excellent communication, analytical andwriting skills as well as supervisory skills
Physical & Office/SitePresence Requirements:
Regular, in-person attendance at Companycommunities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is anessential function of this job. Requires the ability to work morethan eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a constructiontrailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climbstairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carryequipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may requireoccasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexteritymay be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
