Full-Time Summary:
The Controller will oversee all financial operations of Yukon Medical, including accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, vendor relationship management, and HR-related functions such as payroll and benefits administration. This role is critical in providing leadership and insights that enable strategic decision-making and drive financial performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, experience in supply chain finance or cost accounting, and a commitment to operational excellence and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, revenue recognition, and cost accounting. Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate, timely administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and 401(k) plans. Manage relationships with key vendors including banking partners, insurance providers, benefit plan administrators, and external accounting firms. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes in compliance with GAAP principles. Lead the financial reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, distributing appropriate financial targets and tracking performance against objectives. Prepare monthly and annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections; analyze and report budget variances to senior leadership. Provide financial analyses to support capital investments, pricing decisions, supply chain optimization, and customer profitability. Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable financial policies and regulations. Manage and facilitate annual financial audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements and tax filings. Support financial due diligence and modeling activities related to business development opportunities as needed. Assist in preparation of senior management financial reviews, including presentation materials, consolidation templates, and ad-hoc analysis requests. Drive gross margin improvements through COGS analysis, reporting, and targeted reduction initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Operations teams to align financial strategies with operational execution. Ensure knowledge of and compliance with relevant policies, regulations, contractual obligations, and budgetary limitations.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred). 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience. 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams. Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to support ad-hoc requests.
Preferred:
Experience in supply chain finance, cost accounting, or manufacturing environments.
