Position Overview The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role is essential in managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while also implementing effective internal controls and facilitating audits. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports to provide insight into financial performance.
Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
Oversee the integration and use of accounting software and ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.
Ensure tax compliance and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related documents.
Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and improve operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
Minimum of 3 years in leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
M&A, and overhead auditing experience highly preferred. Familiarity with GAAP, tax compliance, and audit processes.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
