Accounting Manager Company Overview:

Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations and reporting for a portfolio of development projects. This individual will manage month-end close processes, joint venture reporting, budgeting, and compliance-related activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience in real estate or construction, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Prepare monthly and quarterly financial packages, including joint venture statements Review general ledger activity, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper documentation Partner with internal teams to support budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis Assist with joint venture formations, equity funding, loan draws, and audits Coordinate asset transactions, including development project sales and dispositions Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies Manage cash activity and prepare wire transfers Liaise with AP, development teams, tax consultants, and external auditors Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation of

SOPs Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; real estate or construction industry preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and joint venture accounting Proficient in Excel and ERP systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
