Controller Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Controller Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough CPA Firm Charlotte, NC 28284 HHM Talent is assisting a client in search for a Dealership Controller for their dealer group based in Charlotte, NC. This position is on site and full time.

Duties:

Manage the daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, GL, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and manufacturer requirements. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard dealership assets. Collaborate with department managers to prepare budgets and forecasts. Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings. Oversee external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed. Manage the accounting team, providing leadership, training, and performance management. Assist with dealership business planning and strategic decision-making. Serve as the primary liaison between the dealership and the manufacturer on financial matters.

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of experience in automotive dealership accounting or as a Controller in a similar environment. Strong understanding of dealership operations and manufacturer financial statement formats. Proficient in dealership management systems (CDK) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High attention to detail and integrity with confidential information. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Up to $130,000.00 per year
