Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes within our organization. Based in South Charlotte, North Carolina, this role requires a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance and driving financial efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger activities, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Lead the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supervise manufacturing cost accounting processes and provide detailed analysis for operational decision-making.
- Develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations to align with organizational goals.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Utilize our Accounting system to maintain and streamline financial systems and reporting.
- Handle inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial efficiency and support strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on manufacturing and cost accounting plus inventory management.
- Proficiency accounting ERP systems and strong Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of auditing practices and budget development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead month-end close processes and generate financial reports.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments.
