JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
The Director of FP&A will be responsible for building a team that monitors and measures performance, forecasts, plans and provides business analysis for the Glass business. The team is responsible for improving our current capability / modeling as well as working across a matrix organization to measure impact of key organizational initiatives. Responsibilities The department under the management of the Vice President of Finance is responsible for reporting and analytics of the Glass business including development, maintain, and publication of business performance tools and analysis Ad-hoc analysis at the request of key business partners (including decision support) Partnering with IT to advance business intelligence capabilities Development and of support materials for periodic business reviews Tracking and measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) for impact to financial performance Lead strategic projects, identify key business and financial risks, and support setting financial priorities Manage managers and analysts and set direction for priorities and deliverables Prepare, review and analyze financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic plans Provide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts Analyze ROI and profitability for business initiatives and identify improvement plans for gaps Monitor and report on industry trends, macros, trading multiples, financial and operating metrics and relevant M&A transactions Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance Develop financial models and analyze to support strategic initiatives Understand business requirements and translate them into specific reporting tools Support Senior Management Team and department heads with in-depth analysis Develop quarterly and monthly financial and business reports Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred) MBA strongly preferred. CPA, CFA, or CMA also desired 5+ years of experience with a background that includes accounting and financial analysis and/or pricing / revenue management. Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory or top-tier management consulting preferred Experience leading teams and providing financial support to multiple sites across the United States Outstanding communication and relationship building, with team-oriented focus. Entrepreneurial spirit and strong analytical, decision making, project management, planning and organizational skills. Power user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint Experience with business intelligence query and presentation tools such as Qlik, Hyperion, Tableau, OneStream or similar preferred Experience with process development / improvement #LI-GL1 #
