Position Summary:
Handles general accounting functions including financial statement preparation and maintenance of the general ledger accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Manages all accounting associates. Develop relationships both inside and outside of the company that promote Commercial Air Systems and Professional Air Systems Contractors and represents the Accounting Department in a professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepares month-end financial statements accurately and in a timely manner. Maintains the general ledger as needed. Develops and implements controls, procedures and systems necessary to ensure the safeguard of company assets. Oversees and manages accounting personnel as necessary. Ensures that all personnel are adequately trained for all required tasks. Maintains Sage Intacct and QuickBooks integrity through the updating of information or programming. Develops Financial reports as needed. Acts as the primary contact between CAS and PAS Contractors on financial issues. Analyzes financial information for accuracy and legitimacy. Makes appropriate recommendations to management based on that analysis. Along with the each entity president and CFO, maintains all financial relationships with outside sources (i.e., banks, vendors, federal and state agencies, etc.). All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience/Qualifications Required:
Minimum 7 years prior Accounting experience. 2 years of prior management experience preferably in a Controller capacity. Prior construction industry experience is preferred.
Job Skills:
Knowledge of and ability to utilize Sage Intacct or similar financial software Knowledge of Windows based software (Excel, Word) and any e-mail system. Excellent math ability. Detail oriented. Strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of construction job costing is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. CPA designation is preferred.
