Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff. Implement and optimize accounting software and financial systems. Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and financial risk. Collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategies and business growth. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirements. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Qualifications:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Sage preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in landscaping, construction, or a service-based industry. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
