Accentuate Staffing is seeking a seasoned accounting and financeprofessional to serve as Controller and help lead our financialoperations with precision, integrity, and vision. This role plays apivotal part in driving the organization’s fiscal health, withresponsibility for managing the accounts payable (AP) and accountsreceivable (AR) functions, ensuring sound internal controls, andproducing accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements. The idealcandidate will hold an active CPA license and bring hands-onexperience from public accounting.
Responsibilities:
FinancialStewardship & Reporting Manage monthly and year-end close processesto ensure timely generation of accurate and auditable financialstatements. Oversee all accounting activities in alignment withGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicableregulations. Operational Oversight – AP & AR Lead the AP and ARteams to ensure transactions are processed efficiently, accurately,and in support of effective working capital and cash flowstrategies. Audit, Risk & Compliance Coordinate with internalauditors and external partners to support audit readiness andcompliance efforts. Ensure proper documentation is maintained andthat audit findings are addressed and resolved promptly. Controls ⪻ocedures Design and enforce effective internal controls acrossfinancial operations to minimize risk and ensure data integrity.
Standardize accounting procedures and documentation acrossdepartments. Leadership & Team Development Supervise and supportthe accounting team, offering mentorship and fostering acollaborative, high-performance culture. Encourage continuousimprovement in processes, systems, and team development. Systems &Tools Optimization Utilize ERP platforms and accounting software todrive process efficiencies and deliver accurate financial insights.
Support system enhancements and reporting automation. StrategicBusiness Support Deliver financial reports and insights toleadership to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
Additional Responsibilities:
Partner with the CFO on corporatereporting, tax support, risk and treasury matters, and fixed assettracking. Contribute to the annual budgeting process and rollingforecasts through data-driven analysis. Collaborate withcross-functional leaders (HR, billing, sales, purchasing, etc.) todrive financial alignment across departments. Provide varianceanalysis to highlight trends and support proactive businessdecisions.
Requirements:
Active CPA license required. Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s inAccounting (MSA) a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressiveexperience in accounting/finance, including public accounting(audit). Familiarity with job costing methodologies preferred.
Strong command of GAAP with proven experience producing audit-readyfinancials. Demonstrated ability to manage AR/AP teams andimplement sound internal controls. Experience with ERP platformsand advanced Excel skills essential. Strong analytical mindset withexcellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effectivecommunicator and team leader, able to manage and motivate in afast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to ongoingprofessional development and process improvement.
